Not every phone comes with a built-in projector. At least your iPhone doesn’t have one. For users on the go who always need to carry out impromptu presentations, here is another choice of tiny projector known as PicoPix PPX2480, which has just been announced by Philips.
The Philips PicoPix PPX2480 projector is able to throw an image up to a 120-inch (320 cm) image with its 80-lumen LED bulb, while it’s connected to a power. When it’s running on the internal battery alone, the brightness will drop to 55 lumens.
The projector has an internal storage of 2GB and it also reads contents directly from the microSD/USB ports. Or you can hook it up to other video sources via the traditional connections including HDMI, VGA, Component and Composite connections.
This tiny projector is only able to provide you a 854×480 resolution and a respectable contrast ratio of 1000:1 which is good enough for the usual kind of presentations and online video. It’s available in UK now for a price around £280 or $450 USD.
