iPhone users have been enjoying Instagram on their iPhones for years but the Android users could never get such an app until a day ago, when the Instagram for Android was made available officially for Android users.
The Instagram for Android had got many months of teasing before its official announcement and the app is now said to have hit 2,000 downloads every minute – according to Instagram’s CEO, Kevin Systrom. It’s just one day, Instagram for Android has been installed more than 1 million times on Android devices.
The Instagram for Android offers similar features found on the iPhone version, and of course you also get popular Instagram photo filters such as Amaro, Rise, Hudson, X-pro (instead of X-pro II), Siera etc.
Although the figures are massive and impressive but there shouldn’t be a surprise as a pre-registration list had been started which managed to grab 430,000 individuals registered to download the app for the Android platform. If you’ve been longing for the Instagram on your Android devices, search Google now for “Google Play”, it’ll directly lead you to the Instagram download page on Google Play.
