The newly announced Sony NEX-FS700 will be what professional videographers want. The camcorder offers a 4K Super35mm CMOS sensor and 3G-SDI out. And it features the super slow motion capability and an interchangeable E-mount lens system.
The super slow motion allows you to record at high frame rates up to 120-240 FPS at full HD resolution. And you can even record at higher frame rates such as 480-960 FPS but at reduced resolution. The interchangeable lens system is great which allows you to change lenses based on the situation.
The Sony NEX-FS700 camcorder also has integrated ND filters including clear, 1/4, 1/16, and 1/64. Video can be recorded to MemoryStick or SDXC cards. You can also connect this camcorder to an external HXR-FMU128 recorder. There is also adapter available for it allowing you to use A-mount lenses on it. It’s also equipped with HDMI output and it comes loaded with 99 camera profile settings on the memory card and is expected to launch in June 2012 but the price is still unknown.
