If you want a super notebook to meet your heavy tasks or gameplays, Eurocom has got one ready for you, if you don’t mind about its price. Known as the Eurocom Panther 4.0, it’s a notebook that can be your mobile workstation, mobile server or gaming notebook while on the go.
Under the hood, the Panther 4.0 packs powerful components including a Intel’s Sandy Bridge-E platform that’s flexibly upgradable to a six-core, 12 thread, 130W desktop Intel Core i7-3960X Processor Extreme. And the RAM and storage can be upgraded up to a massive of 32GB of DDR3-1600 RAM and 4TB of storage with RAID 0/1/5/10 respectively.
The Panther 4.0 also offers a modular graphics allowing the user to choose from three graphic card options; including the NVIDIA GeForce 580M with 2GB of GDDR5 VRAM, the NVIDIA Quadro 5010M with 4GB of VRAM or the AMD Radeon HD 6990M with 2GB of VRAM. The Panther 4.0 also supports the MXM 3.0b interface and will support two 100W graphics cards in either NVIDIA SLI or AMD CrossFire X mode.
This super notebook packs a 17.3-inch screen offering a full HD 1920×1080 pixels of resolution. User will have a choice for its display from matte, glossy or 3D. Other goodies are a backlit keyboard, 2MP webcam, USB 3.0 ports, built-in Ethernet LAN port, THX TruStudio Pro audio sound system, HDMI output, Trusteed Platform Module 1.2, fingerprint reader and a Kensington lock port.
The Panther 4.0 super notebook will be out sometime in March but it also carries a massive price tag of $2,649 each.
