Polaroid has announced an Android-powered smart camera known as the Polaroid SC1630. The device is equipped with a 16-megapixel sensor, 3X optical zoom and a 3.2-inch touchscreen display that boasts a resolution of 800×480 pixels.
It also offers other capabilities of a digital camera including face and smile detection, instant red-eye removal, color correction, WiFi connectivity and image geo-tagging.
The camera runs Android OS, thus it offers the features of Android, with similar UI of an Android smartphone. There are some apps pre-loaded as well such as a calculator and an app for you to take memo.
The Polaroid SC1630 also allows for a single press of a button to upload to photo-sharing sites while it’s hooked up to a WiFi network. It’ll be available in April for a price of $299.
