Akai Pro announces MPC Renaissance and MAX49 for the music-production geeks

If you’re one of those who’ve got your own studio and been producing music, you’d love to learn that the two new products announced by Akai Pro, which are known as MPC Renaissance and MAX49.

The MPC Renaissance (pictured above) is the world’s first MPC designed to harness the processing power of your PC or Mac. It combines the power of both hardware and software to deliver the experience of using a stand-alone MPC.

It’s also equipped with 16 backlit genuine MPC pads, 16 Q-link controls, an adjustable backlit LCD screen, transport controls and a full array of inputs and outputs for easy connection in any studio. The MC Renaissance will be available at musical instrument and pro audio retailers in Q3-2012. More info is available on the press release.

The second device announced by Akai Pro is the MAX49 – a revolutionary USB/MIDI/CV controller for use with virtually any MIDI or Control Voltage hardware and MIDI software. The Max49 is to be available from musical instrument retailers in Q2 of 2012 with an MSRP of $699 and an estimated retail price of $499. More info about it can be found on the press release as well.
