The Sony Music Unlimited app has so far been available for Android, PCs and other connected devices including Sony’s PSP, PS3, and BRAVIA TVs. But now good news is iOS device users will get the app as well for their devices, as Sony has revealed having plan to roll out the iOS version of the app for your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.
The iOS version of Music Unlimited app will have the same features as the Android version. The company has no intention to make any features exclusive to any particular platform. The app will come with an initial version compatible with your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, followed by an iPad-optimized version later.
Sony Music Unlimited music app offers 15 million songs on demand without any annoying ads. However, this requires your subscription of the two plans – basic or premium which costs $3.99 per month or $9.99 per month respectively. Premium subscribers also get extra features such as offline caching of up to 5GB of music, allowing you to continue listening while your device is not connected. The Music Unlimited App for iOS will be launched sometime in Q1 2012.
