Many have started complaining about upgrading to the latest iOS 5.0.1 doesn’t seem to have fixed the battery life problem on their iPhone 4S. I do feel the same although I didn’t time it exactly.
I updated my iPhone 4S to iOS 5.0.1 just after noon and I had it hooked up to my computer for charging while it was downloading the iOS 5.0.1 update. Thus, after completing the download and update, my iPhone 4S got a full bar of battery. But the battery had dropped down to 60% when it was around 4pm+ … just a couple of hours after the full charge. Apparently, the battery life is still draining away as quickly as before.
And a number of complaints popped up on Apple user forum as follows:
New update is no help at all. I opened Safari and lost 2 % just by opening it.
Upgraded to 5.0.1 this morning. Still draining at the exact same rate. Unplugged with a full charge 2 1/2 hours ago, and already down to 80% with light usage. Just lost 2% during a 15 minute shower. I see no difference at all.
Same here. Updated about 1.5 hours ago, battery has drained 20% since then with no usage! This is awful!
Roughly the same numbers here.
Hopefully, Apple will address this issue soon, perhaps with next iOS update.
