The iPhone 4S has been giving problems of poor battery life with most users complaining that they’re not able to reach end of the day. Now, Apple has released the iOS 5.01 update which fixes the poor battery life of your iPhone 4S.
The iOS 5 allows over the air update or you can do it using your iTunes. To carry out an over the air update right on your iPhone, all you have to do is go to Settings -> General -> Software Update, it’ll then check for any available update for you. As shown in the screen above is where the iOS 5.01 is now available for my iPhone 4S.
The are a couple of fixes including having fixed the bugs affecting battery life, adding multitasking gestures for original iPad, fixing bugs with Documents in the cloud and improving voice recognition for Australian users with dictation.
The entire update is 55.5MB, all you need is a WiFi network connection with fast Internet speed. Now, I need to hook up to a WiFi zone to update my iPhone 4S. Or alternatively, you can connect to iTunes to carry out the update. I’ll keep you informed if this really helps the battery life!
