Many brainy developers are keen to port the latest versions of OSes or apps onto some older generations of devices. Such as the attempts of porting Siri to older generations of iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad – but most of the results were somehow unpleasant.
The latest Google Android OS – Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich also got a port to be installable on an older generation of handset – the Samsung Galaxy S. The port has been released by XDA developers but there are still a couple of bugs including Bluetooth, NFC and Panorama mode on the camera, which they’re still working on them.
XDA developer forum has more info on how to install Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on your Samsung Galaxy S handset.
