It’s another 4G/WiMax-capable smartphone – the HTC EVO Design 4G has been officially announced. The handset offers WiMax and a global connectivity. It packs a 4-inch qHD display and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The handset only costs $99 for a 2-year contract. It packs a 1.2GHz single-core processor, a rear camare of 5 megapixel and a front-facing of 1.3 MP. The rear camera is capable of video recording and has built-in LED flash.
The handset comes bundled with 8GB microSD card and it supports GPS, Bluetooth 3.0 and WiFi b/g/n connectivity. The UI is definitely the HTC Sense along with HTC Watch with the support of DLNA wireless video streaming. It also features the wireless hotspot which allows you to share your 3G/4G Internet connection with up to 8 WiFi-enabled devices.
The EVO Design 4G comes in dimensions of 4.8 x 2.4 x 0.47 inches and weighs 5.2oz. The 1,520 mAh-battery is good for 6 hours of talk time. The handset is said to allow you to access both data and voice simultaneously while you’re connected to 4G.
