A little feminine HTC Android handset has been announced for the CDMA network of Verizon. It’s called the HTC Rhyme which apparently targets women users and those who’re active in sports activities. The handset is not any high-end device that you’ve commonly seen from HTC. It packs only a single-core 1GHz processor, a 5-megapixel camera and comes in a metallic plum finish.
There are a number of accessories accompanying the Rhyme including a light-up charm that glows to notify you of incoming calls and texts. And a sports armband that allows you to strap the handset on your arm for listening to music during your workout. There are also a plum wired handset and a desktop dock.
Other goodies of the Rhyme are a WVGA display, HSDPA, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. It runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread with Sense 3.5 UI on top. It also has HTC Watch for video streaming support. There is a front-facing camera and a rear camera with LED flash. The handset will be available on Verizon on September 29 but price has not been confirmed yet.
