The Acer Iconia Tab A501 tablet is now available for the AT&T users, tapping on the network operator’s 4G service. The Acer tablet runs Android Honeycomb as its OS, featuring a 10.1-inch screen and comes housed in an alpine silver brushed metal aluminum chassis which makes it stand out from the rest.
The entire tablet measures 10.24(w) x 6.97(d) x 0.52(h)-inches and weights 1.69 pounds or 0.8kg which is pretty light for on-the-go users. The 10.1-inch TFT WXGA display of the Acer Iconia A501 packs a resolution of 1280×800, offers an aspect ratio of 16:9 and supports an 80-degree viewing angle.
Other goodies found on the Acer Iconia TAB A501 are a Dolby Mobile audio technology, an HDMI port, a microSDHC slot, a micro USB port and a standard USB port, a 2MP front-facing webcam and a 5-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus and flash.
There are also built-in GPS, 6-axis motion sensor meter control and the battery is good for up to 8 hours for gameplays and HD video playback and up to 10 hours for WiFi Internet browsing.
Price wise? Tow models are available, 16GB and 32FB which are priced at $499 and $549. For the AT&T data plan on their HSPA+ or 4G network you have two choices – $15 for 250MB and $25 for 2GB. The tablet will also come included with a number of accessories such as wireless keyboard, dock and a carrying case.
