For gamers who want more power for their on-the-go gaming needs – MSI is to announce two new G-series gaming laptops known as the GT780DXR and GT683DXR, featuring the NVIDIA GeForce GTX570M GPU and an optional built-in Blu-ray burner. Both models are powered by the super fast Intel Core i7 processor.
The GT780DXR (pictured above) is housed in a brushed aluminum chassis and equipped with a 17.3-inch non-reflective full HD screen and a SteelSeries programmable backlit keyboard. Under the hood, it includes a massive 12GB of DDR3 RAM, a 1TB HDD that can be used for RAID 0. If those are not enough, you can upgrade them up to 16GB of DDR3 RAM, 1.5TB of HDD and a built-in Blu-ray burner.
The GT683DXR is a smaller model, packing a 15.6-inch Full HD Glossy screen. It also packs the impressive NVIDIA GeForce GTX570M GPU and the Core i7 processor. You can also upgrade this 15.6 incher up to 16GB of DDR3 RAM and a built-in Blu-ray burner.
Other goodies found on the two new models of MSI G-series gaming laptops are MSI’s TDE (Turbo Drive Engine) which claims to boost 3-5 percent in graphics performance to accelerate video decoding, MSI’s cooler boost which provides better airflow, thus keeping it always at top performance and the Dynaudio Speakers with THX Surround Sound to provide great surround sound experience.
The MSI’s new G-series gaming laptops ara available on Newegg with prices staring at $1,700.
