The iOS devices are still very popular despite some saying that Android will overtake them by 2012. By simply looking at how many other devices, equipments and toys are controllable using the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, then you’ll know they’re the most welcomed devices for both adults and kids. Here is another RC toy that can be controlled using your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. It’s called AppSpeed which is an RC monster truck as shown in the picture.
AppSpeed is a product of Dexim and has just been announced by the company. The RC truck can be controlled wirelessly using a free iOS app on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. The AppSpeed truck can be controlled through multiple functions. The traditional sensor mode allows it to be controlled from your iOS device’s touchscreen and the gravity sensor allows you to control the truck by simply gyrating your iOS device, making use of the built-in accelerometer.
All the functions allow for 360-degree of control over the truck’s movement and speed and you can have up to 50 feet or 15 meters of control range for both indoors and outdoors.
The AppSpeed RC monster truck is available in black and red and it comes included with a custom-built RF transmitter and a quick-charging battery pack. You’ll also get a USB charging cable with the package which allows you to charge it via USB which is great on the go. You can find out more about the AppSpeed monster truck on Dexim. It’s priced at $70 only, which is great for your kids and even you, who’s a RC toy enthusiast. There are more other iOS-controlled RC vehicles expected to come from Dexim including sport and race cars.
