If you’ve been waiting for the Motorola Droid 3 smartphone, here is a little excitement for you. A Verizon’s leaked doc has revealed the full specs of the the Motorola Droid 3 smartphone before its official release. According to the doc, the handset is a world phone which means it can be used on any GSM networks in this world instead of being locked to the Verizon network.
The Motorola Droid 3 is to run Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and equipped with a 4-inch (diagonal) screen with a resolution of qHD (960×540). The Droid 3 is powered by a powerful, dual core TI OMAP 4430 1GHz processor.
The handset has dual cameras, a front-facing and an 8-megapixel camera at its back with an LED flash that’s also capable of full HD video recording. It has an internal memory of 16GB but unfortunately, it has no SD card slot to allow for expansion.
The handset is equipped with a physical, slide-out five-row QWERTY keyboard, and also Swype that aids you type better on its touchscreen virtual keyboard. Other goodies are DLNA, Adobe Flash support and BlockBuster videos that are downloadable via WiFi. Check out the leaked doc where it’s compared side by side with Droid 2 and Droid X2.
