Apparently, there are more wanting to use their tablets to make calls and send text messages. An iPad 3G has been turned into an iPhone by a team called iPhoneIslam, allowing the iPad 3G to make voice calls, send text messages and use FaceTime.

Here comes a Galaxy-S lookalike smartphone known as the TAKE Janus KM-S200. It’s the world’s first 1.5GHz dual-core smartphone which is powered byt a Qualcomm’s MSM826 chip and has 1GB of RAM, and a 4.3-inch qHD 960 x 540 display.

Acer is one of the players at Computex 2011, having announced their new MeeGo-based tablet known as the Iconia Tab M500. The device can be considered the first Meego-based tablet, despite we’ve seen a few tablets that are capable of booting into multiple OSes including MeeGo.
