The iPhone Dev Team has shown us how they managed to jailbreak the developer version of the iOS 5. And they have just released a new version redsn0w iOS 5 Jailbreak that’s able to jailbreak iDevice running the iOS 5 beta.
The redsn0w iOS 5 Jailbreak is meant for developers of jailbroken apps for Cydia. You have to be a registered developer with a UUID in order to download the redsn0w iOS 5 Jailbreak. This new jailbreak supports iPod Touch 3G, 4G, iPad 1, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 GSM and CDMA versions but not the iPad 2.
It’s a tethered jailbreak which is only based on the geohot’s limera1n bootrom exploit instead of any new exploits. If your iPhone is an unlocked and your baseband is kept unlockable, you’re advised to stay away from this iOS 5 jailbreak. Find out more on Dev Team Blog.
