Asus MeMo glasses-free 3D tablet unveiled


Asus has another tablet unveiled at Computex 2011. It’s the Asus MeMo tablet which was first announced at CES 2011 but the version announced at Computex is a new version that comes with glasses-free 3D capabilities.

The tablet has a 7-inch screen with a resolution of 1280×600 pixels which also adopts the IPS technology that provides wider viewing angle. The full name of this Asus tablet is called Asus EEE Pad MeMo 3D. It’s powered by an Qualcomm 1.2GHz processor and equipped with an mini HDMI output, allowing you to hook it up to an HD display to display full HD contents.

The device also has a 5-megapixel camera at its back with the ability of auto focus. There is also a front-facing webcam that’s great for video chat. This Asus tablet runs Android Honeycomb 3.0 OS which is actually the first 7-inch tablet that runs the Honeycomb. The Asus MeMo 3D can be used as a phone too by pairing with a MeMic bluetooth headset. Currently, there is no pricing and availability for this tablet yet.
