We’ve featured a number of MainGear desktop and laptop computers here at TechChee.com. They’re high-end desktops and laptops that are suitable for game plays and resource-hungry applications.
The latest update from MainGear is they’ve refreshed their SandyBridge systems with Intel Z68 Express Chipset, which improves system performance and responsiveness.
The Intel Z68 Express Chipset offers SSD caching which lets users use an SSD that will speed up access of HDD with Intel’s Smart Response solution. This is 60% much better in performance while compared with HDD-only systems. In short, the update allows the system to use SSD-like system but maintain the same, high storage capacity of hard disk drive.
There is also an easy user interface to enable and disable Intel Rapid Storage drivers and requires no special connectors or firmware. The new chipset will be updated across MainGear’s desktop lineup. It’s a more affordable option than getting a hybrid SSD mechanical HHD and it provides faster HDD performance.
