Verizon will have a 4G smartphone from Samsung, called the Samsung Droid Charge, to be added to its lineup on April 28th.
The new Samsung Droid Charge 4G smartphone costs only $300 with a 2-year contract and it’ll ride on the Verizon’s 4G LTE network to let you enjoy super high-speeds of data connectivity.
The Samsung Droid Charge is more expensive than other smartphones available from Verizon, which usually cost around the $200 price points. The reason why it costs more than $200 is most likely due to its 4G LTE capabilities.
The Droid Charge has hardware specs that are on par with other smartphones, including a single-core 1GHz CPU, a 1.3-megapixel front facing camera, an 8-megapixel rear camera, and a a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED plus display. It runs Android 2.2 as the OS.
Since the handset is an LTE phone, you’ll be able to use it as a mobile hotspot, which allows you, who’re always on the go, to network up to 10 different devices via the handset’s high-speed 4G network connection. The mobile hotspot service will cost you an additional $20 per month but it’s currently offered as a free service for a limited time.
