The Square credit card reader is what business men on-the-go need to receive credit card payments from customers using their iPhones, iPod Touches or iPads.
The Square credit card reader is now available online on Apple.com and will be headed to Apple Retail locations soon. The reader plugs into the iPod Touch 4G, iPhone 4 and iPad and it comes with an easy-to-use app. It does not involve any complex contracts, monthly fees or merchant accounts. It simply charges you 2.75% per transaction.
The Square reader is now available for use in the US. The accompanying app can be downloaded from iTunes for free. The unit costs only $9.95 and you’ll get a free $10 credit upon sign up.
