Asus has made its sports car-inspired gaming laptop, Lamborghini VX7, available for pre-order now. The Lamborghini VX7 gaming laptop will remind you the design of the Murcielago LP640, the two-seat sports car produced by the Italian automaker.
The Asus Lamborghini VX7 gaming laptop comes in two colors – orange color and carbon fiber. It has a Lamborghini’s logo on the lid. It’s based on the Intel’s Huron River platform, and it’s a laptop that is meant more for gaming than for regular use.
This Asus Lamborghini VX7 laptop has borrowed some of the materials from the sports car Murcielago LP640, such as the leather of the car’s palm rest. This gaming laptop runs Windows 7 Home Premium and has a large 15.6-inch screen with full HD resolution. It’s powered by a 2.0 GHz Core i7-2630QM quad-core processor and packs 16GB of RAM and up to 1.5TB storage capacity.
Other goodies of the Lamborghini VX7 laptop are a 3GB GeForce GTX 460M graphics card, Blu-ray combo drive, a 2MP webcam, an 8-in-1 card reader, a USB 3.0 port, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, HDMI output and two speakers. It has an 8-cell battery that should provide quite a decent amount of juice for gameplay. The laptop is now up for pre-order for $2,900 and backed by a 2-year warranty.
