
Various gadgets have been built with Lego bricks and there is no surprise that those Lego brick-built gadgets are fully functional gears that perform their duties with excellent performance. Here comes another Lego brick-built gadget, a 4×5 camera, built totally with Lego bricks but is absolutely functional.

The 4×5 camera has a lens, lens board, glass slot to hold the film, along with some components made of Legos. The camera has been tested working pretty well for taking portraits and similar photos. This Lego brick-built camera has a name called Legotron Mark I. It packs a lens with a focal range that starts from 18 inches to 3 feet.
The camera has an internal box which allows it to focus by moving forward and backward. The camera has some limitation due to its specific focus range but it gives excellent result while taking portraits or used in appropriate conditions.
Anyway, the designer, Cary Norton is looking into making the next version of this camera which will have a better focal range. The entire camera 7x 6.5x 7 inches. It has the 127mm and f4.7 lens installed inside, shooting 4×5. The functional part – the camera was bought by Norton from eBay which cost him $40.
