Pentax has announced a compact point and shoot camera, known as the Pentax Optio S1. The camera comes equipped with a 14-megapixel sensor and a 5x optical zoom lens. It’s capable of recording video at 720p HD and shooting HDR (High Dynamic Range) photos. The Optio S1 is also equipped with a 2.7-inch LCD screen which is good for playbacks of images and HD videos.

The iPad 2 has been officially announced, as usual there will be a number of accessories lining up for the iPad 2. Since the iPad 2 has been made 33 percent thinner than the original iPad, protective cases and films must not add too much bulk for not to defeat the purpose of the iPad 2 being thinner.

Finally the iPad 2 has been announced at the Apple event. The iPad 2 comes with a 1GHz dual-core A5 chip and has both rear and front cameras. The CPU is said to offer up to twice the speed and up to nine times of graphics better than what the first-gen iPad has.

Olympus has announced the world’s first camera that is able to survive up to 100kg of crush force, called the Olympus TOUGH TG-810. This new Olympus digital camera is meant to take a serious beating. And it can survive many tortures of the harshest or most adventurous environments, being waterproof up to 10m, shockproof from a height of 2m and freezeproof down to -10 degree Celsius.

Samsung has officially announced a new mid-range phone in its home market, which is known as the Samsung Galaxy Ace (SHW-M240S). The handset was announced along with other Samsung mid-range handsets such as the Galaxy Fit, Gio and Mini. The Samsung Galaxy Ace packs a 3.5-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen display and runs Android 2.2 Froyo as the OS.

Amazon is at it again, having accidentally published a device on one of its online stores (Amazon.de) before its official annoucement. The screenshot shown here was where a 16GB iPad 2 initially found, showing it with the support of Thunderbolt and a 1.2GHz CPU. But the page has been taken down, which currently leads you to a 404 page.
