TASCAM has upgraded its portable recorder, in the form of the TASCAM DR-07mkII. One of the special features of this new TASCAM portable recorder is it has two protruding silver extensions which basically are two flexible, pivoting mics, which allow for easy adjustment to suit the recording environment.
The TASCAM DR-07mkII Portable Recorder also packs share some features found in the older model, DR-05 and aims to provide simple recording for musician on the go. Such as, Peak reduction function which sets optimum recording level to avoid over level, Quick Menu for the selection of commonly used parameters in playback and recording.
There are also additional features such as Overdub mode, which allows you to record over previously recorded but keeps a copy of the original, and Auto Record and Auto Mark settings for keeping your hands off while recording. It also has a reverb effect which gives your recordings the mastered polish.
The TASCAM DR-07mkII offers great flexibility and quality for stereo recordings. It will be out end of this month for $280 each. You can find out more from the product page.
