
HTC Thunderbolt has been announced to be coming this Thursday, March 17 to Verizon Wireless. The handset runs Android 2.2 as the OS and will tap on the high-speed LTE network of the Verizon Wireless.
The HTC Thunderbolt will retail for $250 with a 2-year contract with Verizon. It features the Sense UI, which includes various enhancements including new personalization options, a consolidated email inbox and unique camera effects and filters.
The hardware specs of this handset include a rear auto-focus 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and ability of recording at 720p HD, a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera, a 4.3-ich WVGA capacitive touch screen, microSD slot (with 32GB loaded), a 1,400mAh battery and a number of sensors (proximity, compass, G-sensor etc.).
It also packs various types of connectivity including Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi, DLNA and of course, the high-speed 4G from Verizon. The HTC Thunderbolt can be used as a wireless router or a mobile WiFi hotspot, which allows up to 5 WiFi-enabled devices to share its high-speed 4G Internet connection. Find out more on Verizon.
