Most point and shoot cameras come with lower-resolution capability but Olympus has added the first of its kind, called the Olympus SZ-30MR which packs full HD 1080p capability for video and a 16-megapixel sensor for still images. The Olympus SZ-30MR camera also features Multi Recording or MR, which is a function allowing a user to use a completely different function of the camera, while photographing an image.
The Olympus SZ-30MR camera also features the dual Engine TruePic III+ image processor, which allows the camera to simultaneously record in multiple ways and various combinations.
Two movies can be recorded simultaneously, one wide and one is on the foreground, full HD resolution or lower, original or with effects using one of the 7 magic filters for SZ-30MR films. There is also Clip Video Photo setting, which is now possible to allow for recording video before and after shooting. This provides greater flexibility for the users, allowing recording in various media styles, from posters to full screen video size pages. The Olympus SZ-30MR point and shoot will be available this month for about Euro 329.
