Are you’re tired of controlling your computer using a mouse or keyboard? Now you have a more exciting way to control your laptop, i.e. using your eyes. This will probably reduce the strain on your eyes, as controlling the computer using your eyes is simply like exercising your eyes. Of course, controlling the computer with your eyes will be much easier than using a mouse.
Tobii Technology has unveiled the world’s first eye-controlled laptop. This eye-controlled laptop has been developed in collaboration with Lenovo and will be shown publicly for the first time at CeBIT in Hannover, March 1-5.
The Tobii’s eye-controlled laptop aims to bring a more effective way to control a computer, where users can simply glance at an icon or gadget and more information will be presented. You can also zoom pictures or maps and automatically center on the area you are looking at. The computer will also be able to detect where your eyes are at, such as dimming the screen while your eyes are not looking at the screen to save battery.
The Tobii eye-controlled laptop is still in its prototype stage. The first batch consists of 20 units split evenly between Tobii Technology and Lenovo for development and demo purposes. If you want to know more, visit their booth C13, Hall 9 at CeBit March 1-5. More info: Tobii.com
