LG has officially announced its LG Optimus 3D Android smartphone. The handset offers dual cameras and parallax barrier display. The 3D effect depends on parallax barrier, similar to Nintendo 3DS, which does not require you to wear special 3D glasses for viewing the 3D images.
The LG Optimus 3D smartphone is powered by a dual core 1GHz TI OMAP 4 processor. It has a 4.3-inch 3D screen with WVGA resolution, 8GB storage, a 5-megapixel camera, an HDMI output, and runs Android 2.2 OS.
The handset offers the capabilities of recording 2D videos in 1080p full HD quality, and recording at 720p for 3D video. The parallax barrier that produces the 3D effect can be turned off when it’s not needed. It’s also loaded with smooth UI which runs with no lag. The handset is supposed to be out in early Q2, 2011 but the price has not been announced yet.
