
Finally, the Samsung Galaxy S2 has been announced at MWC. The handset was given some hands on by IntoMobile. The handset meets the latest leaked specs having a 1 GHz dual-core processor allowing it to have capabilities of full HD 1080p video recording. It also has a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display which was said to be quite bright and vibrant, presenting brilliant texts, photos and videos that are like popping out of the screen.

The Samsung Galaxy S2 is actually like what’s said by the leaked specs, which measures only 8.49mm thick, and feels incredibly light in your hands. It has a dimpled back making it more ergonomic to grip. The handset has a front-facing camera resting atop the screen and it has only three Android buttons and has the search key located at the wayside. The US variant of this handset has four buttons according to IntoMobile.

The Samsung Galaxy S2 is blessed with great features for better gaming including the gyroscopic and accelerometer controls. It’ll launch with the Android 2.3 Gingerbread and a custom UI, and packs the capabilities for NFC contactless payments. It also has the Samsung TouchWiz 4.0 UI with a number of tweaks.
The homescreen is customizable, there is also an app tray that allows for a 3D rotating effect and connection to the company’s hubs (music hub, game hub and social hub etc). Overall the handset is great, and a video is included below showing it in action.

Whether you like it or not, there are more leaked specs about the Samsung Galaxy i9100 S2 smartphone. The leaked documents look promising which provide full technical details of the Samsung Galaxy S2, claiming the phone to come with a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen display (WVGA 800×480) and is powered by Qualcomm 8260 1.2GHz Snapdragon dual-core processor and a Adreno 205 for 3D acceleration.
The rest of the specs are an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, full HD 1080p video recording at 30fps, 512MB RAM, 16GB internal storage and support of microSDHC memory cards. There are also accelerometer, WiFi hotspot, aGPS, digital compass, Bluetooth 3.0, HDMI out, and more.
The main differences from the previously leaked specs are a 4.3-inch display and a 1.2GHz processor instead of a 4.5-inch display and 1GHz processor respectively. Anyway, the Samsung Galaxy S2 is already scheduled to show up at MWC, where it should have its official specs announced.

Samsung Galaxy S II confirmed to come in April

Samsung HQ has confirmed over Twitter that the Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone to be arriving in April as planned, although there is no specific launch date. The Samsung Galaxy S2 has had a number of leaks before its official announcement. So, it should be one of the most anticipated smartphones for most of you.
The Samsung Galaxy S II is now said to come with a speedier 1.2GHz processor instead of the previously known 1GHz processor. The Samsung Galaxy S II will either come with the Tegra 2 processor or the Exynos dual-core Cortex A9. Some regions will get the former while others get the latter. Both chips will run at the same speeds. Currently, there is no indication about what region will get what processor.
Other than the 1.2GHz processor, other specs remain the same. Anyway, if you’re a fan of this smartphone, the good news is it’ll come as planned in April instead of being rumored to be delayed till June.
