Telus Mobility will start its mobile phone unlocking service on February 15, which will unlock your mobile devices at $50 per device. Telus will provide instructions on how to unlock a mobile phone and will provide a list containing what mobile phones are eligible for unlocking. Will the iPhone be on the list?
Unfortunately, the Apple iPhone is not a supported device for their unlocking service, despite it’s the most anticipated mobile phone to be unlocked by Telus. Regardless of the device you own, once you’ve unlocked it, you’ll have to finish the 2-year contract with Telus unless you’re willing to pay for the cancellation fee.
The unlocking service will be useful for mobile phone users when they’re at the end of a contract, so they can get an unlocked phone with freedom to use any networks including Telus. An unlocked phone is useful while you’re going abroad so you can get a prepaid SIM card from that country and use your phone there.

Interesting one. Chances are there’s a few companies not so happy about that. But tbh, if you want your phone unlocked there’s loads of places you can get it done anyways. It will be interesting if they include the iphones on the unlock list.. Hmmmmm

Hehe, iPhone is a great business for AT&T and Verizon, there should be no way for it to be included in their list
