Zyxel has announced a highly portable and pocketable 3G router called the MWR211, which should allow you to share most USB 3G modems over WiFi on the go. The Zyxel MWR211 allows the maximum number of users to be uncapped and limited only to the 3G connection.
The device has an Ethernet port which allows the router to be hooked up to a wired Internet connection if necessary. It’s also able to send bandwidth alerts to the users once they get close to the carrier’s cap. The device also has a built-in firewall that has stateful packet inspection capability which safeguards the connected devices.
The MWR211 should be available now for a price of $115. The company also has an extra version, called the MWR222 which has an extra Ethernet port, allowing a wired device to share its Internet connection.
