
Sony has officially announced two new high-end cameras in its line, which are known as Sony HX100V and HX9V that both come with a 16.2-megapixel sensor. The Sony DSC-HX100V is dubbed as the first camera in the CyberShot line that comes with a 27mm Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonar T lens with 30x optical zoom.

The smaller borther, HX9V is also claimed to be the first camera with a 24mm Sony G lens with a 16x optical zoom. Other than the zooming power, both cameras also pack the capabilities of shooting video 1920 x 1080 60p HD quality.
The two cameras use the the Exmor R back-illuminated CMOS sensor which is the first that features the Intelligent Sweep Panorama HR mode, allowing the users to capture up to 42.9 megapixel scene with a whopping resolution of 10480 x 4096.
The two new cameras also feature a 3-inch 921,000-dot Xtra Fine LCD display with wide angle viewing, 3D Sweep Panorama Mode, GPS and dual recording capabilities that are also found on other CyberShot cameras. The Sony DSC-HX100V and DSC-HX9V will be priced at $450 and $350 respectively, which does not sound too bad, considering they both have great great zoom powers and features.
