Jawbone has unveiled a new Bluetooth headset, called the Era which aims to always keep your hands on the steering wheel. As it does not require you to use too much of your hands, such as pressing buttons for pairing your phone with the Bluetooth headset. It simply lets you have motion controls including simply shaking it to enter the pairing mode.
The Jawbone Era Bluetooth headset features a built-in accelerometer which is able to detect motions for various controls. It uses the MotionX platform on Bluetooth head to interprets motion commands. The Jawbone Era Bluetooth headset also emphasizes on the sound quality including audio cleaner and a speaker 25% larger than the usual for improved sound quality.
There is also NoiseAssassin 3.0 technology that helps cut down background noises. The motion-controlled feature is nice but it might mis-interpret some commands while you’re wearing it for your workout. Anyway, the Era headset will ship on January 23 for $129 USD.
