
CHOBICAM1 is an ultra small camcorder which belongs the CHOBI CAM series of Japanese firm, Japan Trust Technology (JTT). Look at how the camera rest on the palm with ample space around it. The CHOBICAM1 is being marketed as a toy movie camera but it packs the real capabilities of recording video and taking still images. And it’s been shaped like a micro format of a DSLR and the company even plans to offer lenses for this super tiny camera.

The entire CHOBICAM1 measures only 2.5×2.5×2.6cm and weighs a mere 12g and it’s equipped with a built-in mono speaker. The super tiny camera is capable of recording video at 640×480 resolution in AVI format or taking still images in in 1,600×1,200 resolution in JPEG formats. It also has a card slot for microSD/SDHC cards that supports up to 32GB and can be hooked up to your computer via USB.

The CHOBICAM1 is ready for sale in Japan for $120 each and a set of lenses for it will be on its way in a few days’ time.
