HP / Palm has two webOS slates that are currently being developed and they’re the 9-inch Topaz and 7-inch Opal. The picture shown here is a render of the 9-inch Topaz tablet which shows that it has no buttons, and has a front-facing camera, a micro USB at the bottom and what appears to be a three-speaker arrangement.
The 9-inch Topaz tablet is said to reach the Palm HQ in June and is followed by a launch later this year. The WiFi-only, AT&T 3G, and Verizon LTE versions of the 7-inch Opal should arrive in September 2011 and on AT&T LTE in July 2012.
But according to Digitimes, one of the tablets (most likely Topaz) would probably start shipping as early as March. And Inventec was said to have received instructions from HP to start producing and shipping a webOS slate in March.
