A number of LTE smart phones have surfaced recently in the US. MetroPCS have also started showing their strength in 4G LTE by prepping the Samsung Forte, which is a QWERTY Android smartphone that offers LTE connectivity.
The Samsung Forte sports a horizontal sliding QWERTY keyboard and it’s expected to run Android 2.2 as the OS and a possible upgrade to Android 2.3 later. The handset also packs a 5-megapixel camera, a 1GHz Hummingbird processor, a microSD card slot and is loaded with the TouchWiz UI.
It seems like MetroPCS is working on more than one LTE handset. So, the Samsung Forte is another LTE handset other than the earlier leaked R910, although the two look pretty similar.
