Japanese electronics firm, Murata has developed a wireless iPad charger which allows your iPad charged without any tangles of wires. The Murata Wireless iPad charger seems to be working similarly to any wireless induction charger, which provides a charging plate for you to place the iPad on for charging. And the best is you can freely place the iPad on the charging plate.
The Murata wireless iPad charger comes embedded with an existing wireless battery charging system in a 2mm thick plastic case, which has two electrodes and is where the iPad placed for charging. It has a special power supply module, which produces 10W and requires three to four hours to charge the iPad.
The Murrata iPad charger is definitely handy but it’ll not cost you too much, at around $12 only. It seems like Murata will not sell this device directly to you and me, they’ll sell to accessory makers and are ready accepting orders from them.

It’s definitely a good news but the article from the Japanese website says 12$ for the electronic parts for big volume order, not for a finished product. So don’t expect 12$ wireless charger, design, assembly and margin from accessory makers and distributors will surely bring the price to the same level as induction wireless chargers. the good news is that it’s still much more convenient to use and better efficiency than induction, therefore good for your wallet and the environment.

Thanks for the correction
Yeah, apparent the $12 is the price for accessory makers, the final retail price will be higher than $12 for sure
