
Haier has also rolled out its Internet enabled HDTVs which come equipped with WiFi connectivity and capabilities of streaming movies, music and entertainment from source wirelessly. The new Haier Internet HDTVs are also equipped with LED screens that offer a deep and rich output, and they’ve chosen Yahoo! Connected TV service as their content provider.
The Yahoo TV service allows you to tune into more than 50,000 TV shows and movies on demand and thousands of Internet contents specially created for TV. The Yahoo service will also bring you a lots of TV apps from top Internet brands, including Amazon VOD, Blockbuster VOD, Facebook, Twitter, CBS, Showtime, NBC, eBay, USA Today Sports, YouTube, Pandora internet radio, and of course the Yahoo! services (weather, Finance, sports, video etc) and Flickr.
The new Haier TV will also have access Hulu Plus, Blockbuster on Demand, Film Fresh. They will also come with remotes that have a dedicated Netflix button. The Haier Internet TVs also allow the users to interact with the broadcast programming such as voting for a reality TV participant or making an e-commerce purchase online. Currently, the company has not yet announced any pricing and availability but they’re now ready at CES to show off all the mentioned features of the TVs.
