Sony Ericsson has announced the newest smartphone in its line, known as the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc. The handset measures only a mere 8.7mm in thickness at its thinnest part but it manages to cram in an extra wide 4.2-inch multi-touch Reality Display with Mobile Bravia engine.
Apparently, with the mobile Bravia engine, the handset packs the capability of delivering great multimedia experience. And it’s equipped with an 8.1-megapixel camera that is capable of full HD video recording and backed by the Sony Exmor Rmobile sensor with an f/2.4 lens, allowing capturing of great pictures and HD videos in low light conditions.
The Xperia Arc also has HDMI output, so you can easily hook it up to an HDTV for playback of the recorded video. The handset runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and is slated to be out in Q1 and available in the colors of midnight blue and misty silver.
