
Sprint has officially announced the HTC EVO Shift 4G smartphone and the Novatel 3G/4G mobile hotpot device. The HTC EVO Shift 4G handset is expected to arrive on January 9 and priced at $150, while the 4G MiFi will be available on February 27 for $50.
The HTC EVO Shift 4G smartphone has a 3.6-inch capacitive touchscreen, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 5-megapixel camera and 720p HD video recording capability. The smartphone runs Android 2.2 with Sense UI. It can also work as a Sprint Mobile Hotspot which allows up to 8 WiFi-enabled devices connected to it for sharing the 4G Internet. The handset also offers social networking integration with Facebook, Twitter and Flickr etc. Other goodies are, microSD card slot (up to 32GB), GPS, stereo Bluetooth, visual voicemail and various Google apps.
The Sprint’s Novatel 4G MiFi supports up to 5 WiFi-connected clients and packs a battery that lasts for 4 hours of active and 60 hours on standby. The little MiFi device also has a microSD card which supports up to 32GB and is handy for the connected users to share files. Both the HTC handset and the Novatel MiFi are great gears you need to enjoy high-speed 4G Internet connectivity.
