Samsung has many great gadgets to show off at CES 2011. One of them is the world’s thinnest 3D Blu-player which is ready to be displayed at CES in January. The Samsung’s 3D Blu-ray player is able to convert 2D to 3D automatically. It measures in at 23mm only and is able to mount to the wall.

The Japanese Softbank has a much smarter way to turn your iPhone into a mobile payment device by simply sticking an NFC (Near-Field Communications) sticker at its back. This is definitely much simpler than having to house your iPhone in a visa payment case for contactless payment.

LG Xnote P210 is a laptop that comes with the world’s thinnest bezel. It’s a 12.5-inch machine but manages to fit within the footprint of an 11.6 incher, thanks to the super thin bezel of its display. It packs pretty good specs letting it be qualified as a laptop/ instead of a netbook.

According to some modders at TechPowerUp, the AMD Radeon HD 6950 graphics card actually uses the same GPU used by the more powerful HD 6970. The HD 6950 is slower as some features are locked, and you just need to have a bit of modding to have the features unlocked and turn the slower HD 6950 into an HD 6970. This is definitely a good news for those who’ve got the HD 6950, so you do not have to fork out more for getting a more powerful 6970.

Onkyo Japan has announced its TA117 tablet that is powered by the recently popular NVidia Tegra chipset. The Onkyo TA117 tablet runs Android 2.2 and is powered by the NVidia Tegra 250 chipset that gives it more power than its predecessors like TW317.

Samsung is also prepping its new Android-based portable media player, known as Galaxy Player to be showcased at CES 2011. The Samsung music player is supposed to be an iPod rival. And it’s made with the inspiration taken from the Samsung Galaxy S smartphone and having specs pretty similar to what the handset has.

There are times you wanna control the iPad without touching its screen such as while you’re busy in the kitchen and your two hands are oily but you wish to flip through the online recipe on the iPad. How nice if the iPad was able to recognize your gestures without needing you to touch it, as what the Microsoft Kinect gesture-recognizing controller does.
