The Japanese Softbank has a much smarter way to turn your iPhone into a mobile payment device by simply sticking an NFC (Near-Field Communications) sticker at its back. This is definitely much simpler than having to house your iPhone in a visa payment case for contactless payment.
Once the iPhone has a NFC sticker attached at its back, it’ll allow the user to pay for goods and services on the go. The NFC sticker can be recharged with with electronic cash at any time.
The Softbank’s NFC stickers are slated to release sometime in February and cost about $36 each. It should come in handy for the iPhone users in US, as AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon having plans to roll out NFC mobile payments sometime in the next 16 months.
