Skype video calling to come to iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch


Skype will soon bring video calling to your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Although FaceTime allows video calls on your iPhone 4 but Skype’s video call is not restricted on the iPhone 4 only, it also covers the iPhone 3GS, 3rd and 4th generations of iPod Touch and even the iPad.

Skype has had a recently published support page that provides the instructions on how to make video calls from your iOS device, a feature that isn’t supported by the current version of Skype on your iDevice.

The Skype video call will mostly likely be available on both WiFi and 3G connection. Of course, the quality of the call depends on how good your connection is. The better the bandwidth you have the smoother the video calls.

Furthermore, users using Skype video call on the iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad is able to communicate in video calling with other Skype users using their Mac OS X, PC and also other iDevices. The Skype video call is only workable on iDevice running iOS 4.0 or above and the Skype for iPhone 3.0 or above.
