BenQ R100 Android tablet

2010 is the year of tablet wars. BenQ has also jumped on the same bandwagon of making its own Android tablet. Now almost ready in BenQ’s line is the BenQ R100 Android tablet which comes equipped with a 10-inch 1024×600 screen and will ship with an unknown version of Android.

The BenQ R100 Android tablet is powered by an 833MHz Samsung processor and offers a battery life of 12 hours for reading. The BenQ tablet is meant for you to read magazines, newspapers and books. It’ll also support stylus inputs for both Chinese and English.

The BenQ R100 tablet also has a SDHC card slot and it comes included with a SDHC card of 8GB and supports up to 16GB. It also has an headphone jack, min USB ports and mini HDMI port. The tablet supports only WiFi connectivity and there is no information if the touchscreen is a capacitive or resistive. The R100 will go on sale sometime in early 2011 and start selling in Taiwan or China first, but no indication whether it’ll be headed to Europe or North America.
