Your existing HDTV might not come with the web browsing capability but you can simply add web browsing capacity to your HDTV by using a small device known as the TV to Internet converter.
The TV to Internet converter is able to connect to your wired or wireless home Internet connection. And it’s hooked up to the HDTV via the HDMI connection.
Once it’s setup, it’ll present you a proprietary web browser and a virtual keyboard that can be controlled using the included remote control. It also displays date, weather and calendar and allows you to access bookmarks for YouTube, Google Maps etc.
It displays contents in 720p HD quality and is powered via the included AC power adapter. Web browsing on a large HDTV screen will surely be more exciting than on your iPad or laptop. If you want one, the TV to Internet converter is available on Hammacher for $200 only.
