If you’re an Xbox gamer and you plan to buy a new smartphone, then you’d better get a WP7 smartphone. As Microsoft has become more aggressive, by offering a free Xbox game for every new purchase of a Windows Phone 7 handset. Microsoft had achieved 1.5 million Windows Phone 7 handsets sold in the first six weeks of its introduction, this move will definitely let them sell more WP7 handsets.
Unfortunately, there are not many game titles on the offer. Currently, only 4 games, which are Halo- Reach, Fable III, Kinectimals and Kinect Joy Ride. If you haven’t got any of these titles, and you want a new phone, it’s wise to buy a new WP7 handset. You can then redeem the free Xbox game from redemption page by using the handset’s IMEI number.
It’s a neat idea by Microsoft as you’d have noticed that two titles are for Xbox Kinect, so Microsoft will also expect that you’ll buy a Kinect in order to enjoy the games.
