Toshiba announces MKxxx1GRZB series 2.5-inch Enterprise SSD

Toshiba has announced its latest enterprise-grade 2.5-inch solid state drives that belong to its MKxxx1GRZB series. The MKxxx1GRZB SSDs use the latest 32nm enterprise-grade SLC NAND flash memory from the company and boast a 6Gbps Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) interface.

The new Toshiba SSDs are available in a number of storage capacities including 100GB, 200GB and 400GB. They’ve been designed to ease the integration into new or existing tier-0 enter storage systems such server-attached storage and network attached storage.

They’re great in terms of read/write speeds and performance, which boast 510MB/s read and 230MB/s write speeds and sustained 90,000 read and 17,000 write IOPS performance.

Along with this announcement, Toshiba has also announced two 2.5-inch hard drives, which are the 1TB MKx001TRKB and 2TB MKx002TSK that use the 3Gbps SAS interface and are meant for 24×7 operation.
