Good news for our UK readers. Super high-speed Internet broadband will be coming to your doorsteps soon. The fierce competition between BT and Virgin Media has made a 100Mbps broadband to be available in the UK. The 100Mbps broadband is to be brought by Virgin Media and it will first roll out to some selected areas including Heckmondwike, Farnborough, Colchester, Barry and S Wale.
The Virgin Media 100Mb broadband lets you have a whopping 100Mbps download speed but a slower upload speed of 10Mbps only. The Virgin Media Broadband service does not come cheap and it’s even openly criticized by BT due to its high price. The package costs you £35 a month when bought with a phone line, or £45 a month if you just want the broadband.
The service is expected to roll out to more areas next year and estimated to have its full roll-out by mid of 2012. Find out more from Gaj-it.com.
